U.S. Sens. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., and Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., met with Georgia’s coastal-area leaders to discuss the impact of federal legislation on their communities.
Mayor Jim Thom- as of Hinesville, Alderman Tony Thomas of Savannah, Chairman John McIver of the Liberty County Board of Commissioners, and Mr. Ron Tolley, CEO of the Liberty County Development Authority were in attendance.
“It was a pleasure to meet with Georgia’s leaders in D.C. to discuss ways Johnny and I can continue to help these communities thrive during these hard economic times,” said Chambliss.
“I was delighted to meet with Georgia’s costalarea leaders this week.
It is critically important to continue a dialogue with local community leaders in order to best represent the state of Georgia in Washington, D.C.,” said Isakson.
