The month of April was designated as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. During April and throughout the year, Savannah/Chatham CASA, Inc. encourages all individuals and organizations to play a role in making Chatham County a better place for children and families. The program honored their cherished volunteer advocates who work tirelessly in the child welfare system on behalf of abused and neglected children in Chatham County by hosting an Annual Meeting & Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 8:00am at the Johnny Harris Banquet Center, 1651 East Victory Drive.

During this breakfast, Savannah/Chatham CASA, Inc. shared program statistics, recognition of program highlights and exciting achievements during 2011 and showcased their 80+ CASA volunteers. This was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Court Appointed Special Advocates program and inquire about volunteer opportunities with the program.
