The 60th Grammy Awards hosted by James Corden was held Sunday. The biggest stars came out in hopes to take home a Grammy. The biggest winner of the night was Bruno Mars, who won all six awards he was nominated for, including album of the year and record of the year.
Kendrick Lamar also had a big night winning five awards. Lamar won Best Rap Performance for “Humble,” Best Rap/Sung Performance for “Loyalty” with Rihanna, Best Music Video for “Humble”, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Song.
Jay-Z, who was nominated for eight awards, did not take home a Grammy.
Other winners include Ed Sheeran, who won best pop vocal album. Dave Chappelle won best comedy album and Childish Gambino won the traditional R&B performance.
It was also a big night for women to send messages about sexual harassment. White roses were worn to show support for sexual harassment victims. Janelle Monáe gave a speech on the movement.
“We come in peace, but we mean business. And to those who would dare try to silence us, we offer two words: ‘Time’s up,” said Monáe.
Although it was a big night for women’s voices to be heard, very few were winners. Alessia Cara, who won best new artist, was one of the few handfuls of women to win.
