Bethel Missionary to 208th Church Anniversary

Pastor Jerome William Baker, officers and members of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Savannah, Inc., wish to invite the entire Coastal Empire and surrounding communities to join us in celebrating this momentous and historical occasion.

Indeed we are surely blessed by God Almighty to still be in existence after two hundred and eight years of devoted worship and fellowship service.

What started in January of 1803 as The Ogeechee African Baptist Church, through much prayer and support of the Original African American Churches and the state of Georgia, we have moved through the decades to become Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Savannah, Inc.

Our history is rich with Pastors and members who labored in the vineyards to hold on and pass along the esteemed heritage of service to God and the community.

The Bethel Family is pleased to continue with loyal appreciation the promise to “enter to worship and depart to serve”.

Our official birthday is January 1st but the celebration continues through January 7th, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. nightly and close on January 9th, 2011 at 5:00 P.M.

We look forward to having you join us and thank you in advance for your prayers and support. All of our sister churches, friends and fellow believers are welcomed and expected to be in attendance. The church is located at 5863 Ogeechee Rd. (Hwy. 17 South)

Jerome William Baker, Pastor

Florida Hunt, Chairman of Deacons.
