Bahá’ís Of The Savannah Area Mark The 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh,

Bahá’ís of the Savannah, Ga area are preparing to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, on Saturday October 21, 2017.

This event is open to all from 1 to 5PM and admission is free. Plans underway include:

An OPEN HOUSE Celebration at The Armstrong Center, Armstrong State University.. Live Music, events for the young and young at heart.. Information tables on various topics Screening of the film “Light to the World” Refreshments will be served.

Bahá’u’lláh (1817-1892) was the Founder of the Baha’i Faith Who announced in 1863 that He was the bearer of a new revelation from God. His teachings have spread around the world, forming the basis of a process of social transformation and community building which is unique in its global scope and the diversity of participants. Bahá’u’lláh’s vision of the oneness of humanity is an antidote to the racial prejudice and materialism that are corroding world society.

“Now more than ever we need positive models of social change that bring people together rather than divide them,” said Michael O’Neal. “This is what we will be celebrating and learning more about in the period leading up to Bahá’u’lláh’s birth anniversary.
