Annual Women’s Prayer Breakfast


Mt. Zion Baptist Church is again presenting its Annual Women’s Prayer Breakfast. This year the Prayer Breakfast will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015, Valentine’s Day. This is a day traditionally set aside for the recognition of love. On this special day, the Sisterhood at Mount Zion is so pleased to have the opportunity to share the word of God and of the ultimate love…God’s love for us through the gift of our Savior Jesus Christ… with women throughout the community. The theme for the Prayer Breakfast is: “May They Grow in Love,” I Thessalonians 3:10-13. The speaker is Evangelist Carolyn Jamison. Evangelist Jamison lives in Hampton, SC where she shares the gospel with the saints at St. Stephens Holiness Church in Varnville, SC. The Pastor/ Overseer is Bishop James L.

Cohen. Evangelist Jamison received her call and was ordained in 2002. She worked as a youth Bible School Teacher and Choir Director. She also organized and worked with the Nix Street Youth Tutoring Program and Neighborhood Crime Watch. She has a passion for God’s word, love for people, especially the youth, and a deep commitment for the community and her faith.

The Prayer Breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. The church is located at 1008 Martin Luther king, Jr. Boulevard (31415). Pastor Michael S. Stamps, Sr., along with the women of Mount Zion, extend a hearty invitation to all women to join for a joyous morning of Christian fellowship.
