LOPO Founder and CEO Stanley Shavers along with the Board of Directors are pleased to announce the Live Oak Park Organization, Inc. is planning its Annual Family and Friends Day on Saturday, June 14 to support Savannah’s intergenerational Benjamin Van Clark Community, formerly known as the Live Oak Park neighborhood. LOPO is making a citywide push to attract highly interested individuals, companies, and organizations that are looking to help in the revitalizing efforts of a neighborhood bridging the generational gap of the community.
LOPO is hosting LOPO’s Family and Friends Day, affectionately known as the LOPO Reunion, and is in search of support for a wide range of resources to directly benefit the citizens of Benjamin Van Clark Neighborhood. LOPO is in need of healthcare professionals to conduct blood pressure and HIV screenings, cholesterol checks and eye exams; Blood Mobile for those who would like to donate blood; Massage Therapist for Senior Citizens; and Zumba instructors.
In addition to jumpers for the youth, food, drink and paper good donations are needed for the cookout. The event is free and is open to the general public.
