Alderman John Hall Announces Re-election Bid For District 3 Savannah City Council

Alderman John Hall is announcing his plans to seek reelection for the 3rd District of the City of Savannah, Georgia. He will make a formal announcement on Saturday, January 10, 2015 on the corner of Skidaway Road and Victory Drive. Mr. Hall is married to Connie Houston Hall and is the father of a blended family of five. He is currently employed by the Chatham County Board of Education as a Media Assistant at DeRenne Middle School.

Mr. Hall is a Thunderbolt, Georgia native and a 1969 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School. He has spent his adult life as an active participant in service to his community.

Mr. Hall was a councilman for the Town of Thunderbolt for eight years (1998-2005) and during his last four years there served in the capacity of Mayor pro-tem. As a member of the Georgia Municipal Association, he studies all facets of governance through courses offered by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government of the University of Georgia. He has completed 140+ hours earning him the Certificate of Excellence which he will receive at the GMA Conference in Atlanta on January 25, 2015. Mr. Hall also serves on the Board of Public Safety and Crime Prevention of the National League of Cities.

Mr. Hall has proudly represented the “Rising” 3rd district of Savannah, Georgia for the last 3 years and during that time, the 3rd district has seen a tremendous growth in new businesses that not only generate significant revenue for the city but also provide numerous employment opportunities for 3rd district constituents. Mr. Hall will continue to be an ambassador who advocates for the implementation of vital changes for the district, specifically crime reduction and the eradication of blight. He will strive to ensure citizens have a community that encourages and supports civic and cultural engagement. Mr. Hall will continue to serve the community with commitment, integrity and passion.
