Joined by Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax (D-VA), candidate for governor and former House Democratic Leader Stacey Abrams unveiled her higher education policy in Savannah last Saturday at Savannah State University.
Stacey Abrams’ plan for Higher Education and Post-Secondary Pathways has four pillars: Graduating Without Debt; Strengthening Access to Post-High School Opportunities; Supporting Safe, Healthy, Inclusive Campuses; and Helping Students Prepare to Excel, Graduate, and Succeed. “Whether because of finances, structural barriers, or concerns about campus environment, too many Georgia students are not seeking educational opportunity,“ said Stacey Abrams. “As Georgia’s next governor, I will remove barriers to access, improve affordability, and include students in decision making. Under my leadership, Georgia students will be able to tap into their own boundless capacity to thrive.”
While in the region, Abrams also appeared at Meet & Greet events hosted by ILA Local 1414, Tybee, Brunswick, Statesboro and Hinesville.
