The Haitian American Historical Society (HAHS), the office of Honorable Eddie DeLoach, Mayor of Savannah, and the Haitian Ministry of Culture cordially invite you to the 9th Annual Celebration of the Haitian Memorial Monument on Friday October 7th, 2016 at 11:00am at Franklin Square, Savannah, GA 31401 followed by Haitian Caribbean Heritage Festival at 4:00pm featuring internationally renowned bands like Tabou Combo, T-Micky, Ayabonmbe; dance workshop, drum workshop, food, arts and crafts, and many more.

This year HAHS join forces with Ministry of Culture in an effort to promote the History of Haiti and its culture with the participation of the Minister of Culture, Marc Garcia.

Our ancestors, free men of color helped America become what it is today at that battle. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we would like your presence as the media to this prestigious historical event.

The HAHS is a 501(c) (3), non-profit organization supported by numerous public officials at the local, state, and federal level. Our goal is to teach current and future generations to appreciate our contribution as Haitians to the world. We are dedicated to investigating any past instances in American history where there have been Haitian contributions. This organization seeks to maintain the truth and accuracy in historical events pertaining to people of Haitian descent.
