Local businesses are consistently looking for cost-effective assistance to manage and grow their businesses. How does “free” sound?
One of our area’s best sources for business assistance is SCORE. Buy Local Savannah presents a program designed to connect area firms with this largely untapped resource.
SCORE’s stated mission is to grow successful small businesses across America, one business at a time. They are a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, and grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. They have been doing this for nearly fifty years. Because their work is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and a network of 12,000+ volunteers, they are able to deliver their services at no charge or at very low cost.
They provide: mentors who share their expertise across 62 industries; free, confidential business counseling; free business tools and templates and tips online; inexpensive or free business local workshops and webinars online.
The local chapter has a surprising number of success stories on its resume. Marjorie Young, Current President of SCORE Savannah, will present case studies and show attendees how to tap into the organization’s human and online help. She will field business-specific questions and direct entrepreneurs to the best local resources.
