The Hungry Club Forum of Savannah, Inc. (HCFS), Harnessing the Power of Collaboration on the issues of today and tomorrow, will launch its 2016 series on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 9:30 AM in the Multipurpose Room of the WBS YMCA, located at 1110 May Street.
Moving towards its 10th Anniversary, Savannah’s premiere community issues forum will serve up breakfast and its Signature Roundtable and Open Forum entitled, “2016: Visions, Challenges and Opportunities”.
Otis S. Johnson, PhD., noted sociologist and former Mayor of the City of Savannah has accepted the HCFS Board of Directors’ invitation to bring the keynote address. Dr. Johnson, currently serving as a Scholar in Residence at Savannah State University, continues to keep his finger on the pulse of much that develops in the Savannah Area community. He is uniquely qualified to kick off the HCFS New Year as he has on previous occasions.
Introducing Dr. Johnson will be Attorney in private practice, Chadrick Mance, founder of the Mance Law Group. The Savannah trial lawyer also serves as President of the Port City Bar Association, Savannah’s African American Bar Association.
Minister Sherrill Gilbert will moderate the discussion and Open Forum. She is Prayer Coordinator on the staff of The Sanctuary of Savannah and is the founder of Our Father’s Heart Community Outreach.
