This event will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 Coastal Georgia Center – 305 Fahm Street – Savannah, GA 31401.Opening Ceremony will start at 9am and appointment hours are from 10am – 7pm
Crime victims and/ or their families will have the opportunity to discuss their offender’s cases and speak confidentially with a representative from the State Board of Pardons and Paroles/Department of Corrections. The opportunity to participate in this event locally in Chatham County is extremely rare; with the last opportunity being in 2006. Victim-Witness Assistance Program Director Cheryl Rogers said, “It is the goal of the VWAP Program to continue to give victims a voice and this event allows the Parole Board a chance to hear the impact that crimes have on victims long after their court cases have ended.”
