Chairman Signs Jail Expansion Construction Contract

On Thursday, February 24, Chatham County Commission Chairman Pete Liakakis signed the construction contract for the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office jail expansion project. The nearly $71 million dollar project was awarded to Hunt/Mills, A Joint Venture. This is the largest capital improvement project in Chatham County’s history.
